About

Hi, I’m Lady Momus.  My name comes from Momus, the Greek god of mockery, satire, and writers.

I’m just a mild-mannered blogger with a love of superheroes and comics. I tend to prefer DC over Marvel, although I’ve enjoyed works from both companies. My favorite characters tend to be B- and C-listers, so I tend to get annoyed when minor characters are used as cannon fodder.

I have a soft spot for the works of Geoff Johns because his work on JSA is what got me to start reading comics. The Justice Society continues to be my favorite superhero team of all time.

Hello!! I hope this note finds you well. I am just writing to ask your permission offiially to use the picture you used on one of your posting… I had already started using it but I did not want to intrude on copy-rights. I would like to use the picture on my nwly established blog… http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=12992729400A84880100&page=0

I actually don’t own the image for my avatar. The original image is from JLA #53 and was drawn by Bryan Hitch.

If you’re in the U.S., you should have no problem using the image. (The image is about 1/3 of one panel from a 22-page story, so it falls under the fair use clause of U.S. copyright law.) If you’re in another country, you might want to doublecheck your local copyright laws to be safe.

Good luck with your new blog. 🙂
