Answering Questions that Lead People Here

One of the odd things about running a blog is seeing the search terms that lead people to my blog. Sometimes the search terms are actual questions, most of which I haven’t actually answered. Today, I’ve decided to fix this.

Here are some of the questions that lead people to my blog and their answers.

“what happened to the wonder woman pilot??”

NBC decided to not produce the series. The pilot has been described by quite a few people as really bad, which may have influenced this decision. I’d recommend this video review if you want more details about why it was bad.

“will nickelodeon release tmnt 2003 cartoon on dvd”

I haven’t been able to find any official announcements about it. I hope they do. The current releases are horrible.

“is young justice available on netflix instant queue”

The DVDs are available on Netflix, but it’s not available for Instant Watch.

“is identity crisis still in continuity”

Unfortunately, yes. Don’t ask me how. It doesn’t make any sense.

“what happened to the agony booth”

The Agony Booth is still around, but they have changed their format from text recaps to video shows. They still publish the occasional text recap, but it’s much rarer.

“what is storyline of lian harper death?”

Lian Harper was killed off in Cry for Justice. She’s not involved in the storyline that lead to her death. She doesn’t appear until Green Arrow is cradling her corpse in his arms. She dies when her house collapsed on her, one of thousands of deaths caused by the villainous Gary Stu Prometheus.

“why kill off lian harper”

For cheap drama. Also, because DC editorial seems to be under the mistaken impression that children and married people are boring.

“when lian harper will resurrected?”

She won’t be. She no longer exists in the Reboot universe.

“is linda park married”

Well, she was married to Wally West, but neither of them seem to exist in the DCnU …

Oh, wait. You probably mean the actress. According to Memory Alpha, she’s engaged. This may not be reliable, since the link they cite is broken.

“why was black panther cartoon canceled”

According to Reginald Hudlin, it wasn’t aired because it was “too young and male” for BET’s audience. My personal theory is that it didn’t fit in with BET’s other programming and motion comics aren’t really made for TV broadcast.

It’s still available on DVD and on Netflix.

“how many pages are in a golden age comic”

It varies. Let’s take Police Comics #1. It had 68 pages, but had multiple stories, the longest of which was only 11 pages. There were short text stories, one page gag comics, and longer comics. Comics that became more popular could get higher page counts. (For example, Plastic Man’s debut story was only 6 pages, but a couple of years later, his stories were running 15 pages.)

“where did lizzie go in modelland”

Spoiler warning!

Lizzie lived on the streets, near where Tookie was chosen. She waited there for an entire year before Tookie ran into her when she returned to LaDorno. While Ci~L was chasing Tookie and her friends around town, Lizzie slashed her wrist.

It was unclear whether this killed her or was another instance of non-lethal cutting. Chances are she’s not dead. But we don’t know for sure since Tookie is a horrible person who can’t be bothered to check and see if her friend is alive or dead.
